Colour: Amber, with chocolate highlights.
Aroma: Vivid aroma that is both fresh and spicy. Bouquet combines light citrus tones and warm vanilla against an almond background.
Taste: Intense, sustained flavour that is rounded out by an expressive sweetness, which transitions to tones of lemon and dried figs. Pleasingly acidic aftertaste.

Ani was first mentioned in the 5th Century A.D. by Armenian chroniclers. Known as ‘The City of 1001 Churches’ or ‘The City of Forty Gates’, Ani had a population of 100,000 to 200,000 people at the height of its glory. It rivalled cities like Constantinople, Baghdad, and Cairo. Many of its cathedrals, palaces and fortifications were among the most technically and artistically advanced constructions in the world. Renowned long ago for its splendour and magnificence, the legendary Ani has been abandoned and largely forgotten for centuries.
